The Kappa of Your Dreams Renovation Project

Dear Brothers,

On June 28, 2013, we acquired the Kappa Alpha Psi Youth and Community Center (KYCC) and brought KAPPA home to 1207 Eutaw Place. Through our combined sacrifice, the men of the Baltimore Alumni

Chapter realized the single largest property acquisition in our history! Now it’s time to make our new “house” into the “Kappa of Your Dreams.”

Through the leadership and support of Brother Nathaniel McFadden we were able to secure a $175,000 grant to improve the KYCC to ensure that we have the physical infrastructure to achieve our philanthropic and community service goals. The primary area under development will be the basement area of the KYCC which will be flexible in its use and able to accommodate the space needs of the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Metropolitan Baltimore and Baltimore Alumni Chapter. However, the grant will not cover everything. We will cover the cost of the furnishings and accoutrements of our renovated space.

To that end, we are kicking off the year long “Kappa of Your Dreams” campaign to raise the funds needed to make the KYCC the home each of us has dreamed of. The goal of the “Kappa of Your Dreams” campaign is to raise $50,000. If 100 brothers were to donate $500 our goal would be achieved! The generosity of those who donate will be recognized on a “Kappa of Your Dreams” donor wall that will be located prominently in our renovated basement area. Brothers, who donated previously, but not in time for the first donor wall, will have their contributions applied to this campaign.

Your generous support will help to ensure the success of KYCC renovation project and is a reflection of your commitment to making our dream a reality. Please use the attached pledge form to make a donation today.

Thanks so much for your support!
